Cunningham's weekly column in The New York Times, "On the Street," became an iconic fixture of the fashion world, and he was widely regarded as one of the most important fashion photographers of his time. He continued to work up until his death in 2016 at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy of insightful and inspiring fashion photography.
